Hi, I’m Danielle,

I also go by Dana. I'm an artist & photographer based in Santa Cruz, CA, where I hike, surf, make art, and photograph strong women in their element. I specialize in womanhood, maternity, newborn, and motherhood sessions in-home and in nature.

I was an abstract artist for most of my life, but after birthing my two daughters, I was inspired to become a photographer as well so that I could relive, in a more direct way, the magic of each stage of becoming a mother: womanhood, pregnancy, birth, newborn, and family life.

I love capturing the beauty and power of women in their natural state. I believe that every woman is an underrated goddess, capable of so much, and I want my photos and my art to reflect that. It has been an exciting journey, seeing how my style, concepts, and values translate from art to photography. Through the evolution of my work, the connection between the human body, mind, and nature remains constant.
